HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR HEADSHOT
- 01

How important are acting headshots?
Acting headshots are one of the most important tools for your career. Casting directors, agents, and other industry professionals often see your headshot before they ever meet you, so it needs to represent you clearly, professionally, and authentically.

What is the vibe of the session? Will it be stressful?
Not at all. We aim to make every session fun, fast-moving, and relaxed—never rushed. Most sessions run just over one hour, and you’ll be directed the entire time so you’re never left wondering what to do.
- 03
-
Do I need to worry about weather?
Yes, please be prepared for weather delays. We live in South Florida, so rain or storms may cause us to push back your start time or reschedule your shoot if needed. We’ll stay in communication with you if the weather becomes an issue.

What time should I arrive and what if I’m running late?
Please arrive at your scheduled time and allow enough driving time—our schedule is often very full.
If you’re running late, text Diane at 561-302-4659 so we can adjust as best as possible. - 05

Why is it important to maintain continuity after the shoot?
Your acting headshots must represent exactly how you look today. Agents, managers, casting directors, and producers expect your appearance to match your photos when you walk into an audition or appear on camera.
For that reason, it is very important that you do not change your hairstyle, haircut, facial hair, or hair color after your session. Any major change—such as cutting bangs, going shorter, changing your part, straightening vs. curly, or altering your color—creates a mismatch between your headshot and your actual look.
If you change your hair significantly after the shoot, you will need to redo your photos so your materials are accurate and industry-compliant. Consistency is key for maintaining trust and professionalism in the casting process.
